Jen McCarthy, the Director of Marketing at Business Capital, has extensive experience in public relations and marketing, as well as print and online publishing. She has been with Business Capital for over four years and is responsible for overall marketing and public relations strategies. In addition, Jen manages the design and publication of all print and online collateral, as well as the copywrite, design and maintenance of the company website and optimization efforts.
Prior to working for Business Capital, Jen was responsible for new business development, marketing, community and public relations for a youth soccer program based in Richmond, Virginia. Jen has also served on the marketing and public relations teams of Daimler-Benz AG, a German motor vehicle and technology company based in New York City and ITT Sheraton Corporation, a leading international hotel company based in Boston. At Daimler-Benz AG, Jen was involved in publicizing the company’s initial listing on the New York Stock Exchange and the opening of the first American manufacturing plant for Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Alabama. While with Sheraton Corp, Jen was sent to Chicago to assist in marketing and publicizing the opening of one of the company’s new luxury hotels. In each of these positions, she succeeded in garnering national media attention, was involved in the design and publication of collateral, and the planning and execution of major company events.
Jen currently serves on the Advisory Committee in California for Team Impact, a national non-profit improving the quality of life for children facing life-threatening illnesses through the power of team. Jen graduated with a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts, and studied for her M.S. in Communications at Boston University.
